Speaker Karu jayasuriya has decided to hold the debate on the Bond Commission report and the PRECIFAC report on February 06. 

The decision has been arrived at following a discussion with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. 

Although a party leaders meeting was held this morning to discuss a date for the debate, the meeting ended without a final decision. 

At that point, the Speaker said he would discuss the matter with the Prime Minister and decide on a date. 

The Prime Minister, speaking at an election rally in Morawaka on Saturday said, he wanted to debate the Presidential Commission reports in Parliament, before the Local Government election.
