Head coach of the Mumbai Indian team is the former Sri Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene who also introduced Dhanajaya to the international cricket arena.
Dushmantha Chameera was purchased by Rajasthan Royals for Ind. Rs. 5 million.
Both Chameera and Dhanajaya played vital roles in Sri Lanka's victory over Bangladesh in the final match of the tri-nation series on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Lasith Malinga, one of the most experienced IPL players, remained unsold this year.
