President Maithripala Sirisena has informed Speaker Karu Jayasuriya that he will table the Bond Commission report in Parliament in a week's time.
The Speaker informed the same to the House when Parliament convened this morning to discuss the bond commission report.
However, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe made a statement in a Parliament this morning, explaining his position on the bond commission report.
He reiterated that the UNP had nothing to hide on the matter and he himself instructed the Attoney General to take action on the issue.
As the Prime Minister rose to deliver his speech, the Opposition MPs attempted to interrupt the Prime Minister's speech. The government MPs also clamoured in support of the Prime Minister.
