A day before President Maithripala Sirisena's statement to media on the Bond Commission report, the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Inquire and Investigate into Serious Acts of Fraud and Corruption (PRECIFAC) too has handed over its final report to the President. 

The President's Media Unit confirmed that the final report of the commission was handed over to the President this afternoon. '

The report contains comprehensive details about 17 cases involving the top-notch members of the previous administration. 

The commission also handed over the recommendations on the measures to be taken in future to prevent such crimes, sources close to the President said. 

They also added that the President might also refer to the PRECIFAC, in his media statement tomorrow. 

The commission's official term expired on December 03.
