President Maithripala Sirisena said he would make a special statement to media on Wednesday (January 03) on findings of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Treasury Bonds issue.
"I will make a special statement to media on Presidential Bond Commission report and its recommendations on Wednesday, January 3rd," Sirisena tweeted, a short while ago.
The report was handed over to him, on Saturday, by the three members of the commission, in the presence of Presidential Secretary Austin Fernando and the commission's secretary, S. Udugamasooriya.
Sources close to the President said the latter received three copies of the report.
The President had apparently taken one copy with him to Polonnaruwa, when he visited his home town for the New Year holiday.
