Actor Kamal Hassan on Sunday congratulated superstar Rajini Kanth who announced his decision to float a political party+ and contest the next assembly election in Tamil Nadu.

"I congratulate my brother Rajini for his social consciousness and his political entry. Welcome," tweeted Kamal immediately after Rajinikanth announced his decision.

It may be recalled that Kamal has already announced his decision to launch a political party. In November, he said that a mobile app for the fans -- Maiam Whistle mobile app -- would launched in January. It would be followed by an announcement about his statewide tour. After meeting people across the state, he would name his party, Kamal said in November. (Times of India)
