Weerakumara Dissanayake, former stalwarts of the National Freedom Front who recently joined the Sri Lanka Freedom Party is also likely to get a deputy ministerial portfolio.
Dissanayake previously served as a Deputy Minister of the Rajapaksa administration. He was a prominent member of the Joint Opposition until his crossover to tell SLFP.
Dissnaike was present at the launch of the UPFA's policy framework for the Local Government election, at BMICH, this morning.
Parliamentarian Piyasena Gamage also received a ministerial portfolio from President Sirisena this morning. Gamage was appointed the State Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development.
Before Gamage's appointment, Sriyani Wijewickrama, who crossed over to the Joint Opposition from the SLFP, also received a ministerial portfolio.
