Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan has been admitted to a hospital in Trincomalee. 

Hospital sources said the Opposition Leader's condition was not serious. 

TNA sources said the opposition leader was busy over the past few days as he was attending to the nomination work of the TNA. 

They also added that the Opposition Leader had cancelled a visit to India following the ailment.
