Sri Lankan Captain Dinesh Chandimal, explaining the problems his team faced during the last test in Delhi, air pollution gave a tough time to everyone.
"It was a tough time, the thing is, we aren't used to the pollution. That's why we struggled in the first two days," Chandimal, who became the player of the match, told reporters after the test series.
"We told the boys, we need to forget about it and play the game. Today was a fantastic day, felt like Sri Lanka. Thanks to the Indians fans too, thanks to Virat and team, wish them well for the tour of South Africa," he added.
Sri Lankan seamers Suranga Lakmal and Lahiru Gamage had to be taken out of the ground as they started vomiting after inhaling polluted air.
The Indian cricket authorities responded saying they were not in a position to cancel the match due to pollution.
