Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is to visit the site of the proposed tourism zone of Dedduwa- Akurala, today.
During the visit, the Prime Minister is to discuss the progress of the project with all stakeholders, including the government authorities.
The project is mainly handled by the Southern Development Board and the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.
Government had said it would be one of the top three high-end tourism zones in Asia.
Land acquisition for the proposed tourism zone is currently underway with a Rs. 200 million compensation package.
