Members of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) this morning brought a no-confidence motion against Provincial Councils and Local Government Minister Faiszer Mustapha.

The move comes on the heels of the Joint Opposition (JO) yesterday handing over to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya a no-confidence motion against Minister Faiszer Mustapha.

Both parties allege the Minister is at fault for delaying the Local Government elections, which has not been held since the national unity government took over 2 ½ years ago.
