The Presidential Commission of Inquiry investigating the Treasury bond issue concluded its hearing yesterday with the testimony of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The final report of the tribunal is expected on December 8.
President Maithripala Sirisena appointed Supreme Court Judges Kankanithanthri T. Chitrasiri, Prasanna Sujeewa Jayawardena and former Deputy Auditor General Kandasamy Velupillai to investigate the Treasury bond issue on January 27, 2017
The Commission held its first session on Feb. 6. It’s mandate ended on October 27 but was extended for a period of 6 weeks until the final report is ready.
