The Colombo Fort Magistrate this afternoon released former Litro Gas Chairman Shalila Moonasinghe on bail.

Moonasinghe was arrested on October 9 for his involvement in the Taiwan Far Eastern International Bank heist that saw USD 60 million transferred out of the bank.

The monies were transferred into accounts in Sri Lanka, Cambodia and the United States.

Moonasinghe was arrested after USD 1.1 million from the Far Eastern International Bank were found in his personal bank account.
