The Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) investigating the Treasury bond issue said this morning they would question Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe as part of their proceedings.
At an earlier date the Prime Minister expressed his willingness to appear before the Commission if they wished to question him relating to involvement in the Treasury bond issue.
The Prime Minister was alluded to in text messages that were exchanges between former Perpetual Treasuries Limited director Arjun Aloysius and PTL CEO Kasun Palisena.
The Bond Commission wound up operations on October 17, saying they would reopen if necessary to question the Prime Minister.
The final report of the Bond Commission, which held its first session on February 6, is due on December 8.
