Justice Minister Thalatha Athukorala proposed to the Cabinet of Ministers that a national action plan is set up to control and make the public aware of the negative impacts of corruption.
The national plan, which the Justice Minister proposed is set up with the consultation of relevant agencies, received the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers yesterday.
Thalatha Athukorala was appointed to the post of Justice Minister on August 25, with the removal of former Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe.
The President removed former Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe of his portfolio following a request made by the United National Party (UNP).
