Three Chinese ships laden with aid for Sri Lanka are en route and will arrive in Sri Lanka on Thursday, the Government Information Department said.

Meanwhile, the second ship carrying aid for Sri Lanka from Pakistan is expected to arrive today.

India has already sent two ships laden with aid for those affected by showers and landslides in Sri Lanka.

Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop also said that Australia would give Sri Lanka Rs. 57 million in aid.
