Due to adverse weather conditions and the situation being experienced in the country with the loss of lives and homes, Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has ordered that the deadline for the GCE O/L examination is extended until June 15.  

Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam had also ordered that educational certificated damaged by the floods is re-issued to families, free of charge.
