Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan, Dr. Sarfraz Ahmad Khan Sipra has promised aid from Pakistan to flood hit Sri Lanka.

In a message, the Acting High Commissioner said the people and government of Pakistan was aggrieved at the floods and landslides in Sri Lanka that have caused devastation and destruction.

‘The people of Pakistan are standing shoulder to shoulder with the Sri Lankan people in these times of grief and suffering,’ the Acting High Commissioner said in his message.

He said the High Commission of Pakistan was in constant touch with Sri Lankan authorities to finalise the required relief items and provide them to Sri Lanka.
