The Board of Directors of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation are likely to resign today. 

The move comes in the wake of the resignation of the ITN board of directors following the appointment of the new Media Minister. 

This will allow new Finance and Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera to appoint a new management to administer the SLRC.

The SLMC management was headed by senior lawyer Ravi Jayawardena, an ally of President Maithripala Sirisena.
