Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary Galgoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera locked horns with the Police in Kurunegala last night as the Police attempted to prevent him from inciting violence in Kurunegala.

Referring to the Policemen as wild dogs the BBS General Secretary told them he was fighting for the future of their children.

“We are talking on behalf of your children,’ he admonished the Policemen – aren’t you Sinhalese?

We have no political problem. We are talking about a national problem,” he said referring to his issue with the Muslims.

Cheered on by his supporters the BBS General Secretary went on to curse at the Policemen and continuously admonish them.

“What wrong have I done? Have I plundered, have I robbed, have I raped,” he asked. “I am only trying to protect this nation.”

“Before you apply the law to me, apply the law to the people building in Wilpattu, to Faiszer Musthapa who gives out false deeds for land, and to Azath Sally,” he told the policemen.
