Streets in Colombo are flooded as heavy rains and strong winds beat incessantly down.

Several roads in Grandpass, Borella, Rajagiriya, Fort, Colombo 7, Colombo 3 are flooded due to the heavy rains.

Police said severe traffic was reported in many roads in and around Colombo due to heavy rains and floods.

Meanwhile a Vesak pandal in Kiribathgoda collapsed this afternoon due to strong winds, damaging four vehicles.

Uprooted trees have also been reported from several parts in Colombo.
