The number of those injured in the building collapse in Wellawatte has risen to twelve.

The injured have been rushed to the Kalubowila Hospital and the General Hospital.

Police said those injured were mainly construction workers working on the seven-storey building.

The building collapsed at around 10. 30 this morning.
