Sampath Sri Nilantha Wickramaarachi was appointed North Central Province Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries this evening, replacing R.M.P.B. Ratnayake.

Earlier this morning Sarath Illangasinghe was appointed North Central Province (NCP) Irrigation, Land, Rural Development and Women’s Affairs Minister, replacing H. B. Samasinghe.

The moves come in the wake of several other changes to the North Central Province.

Susil Gunaratne was appointed Transport, Sports, Youth Affairs, Trade, Food, Cooperatives and Industries Minister yesterday, filling the seat left vacant by S. M. Ranjith who resigned in the wake of K. H. Nandasena being replaced as Health and Indigenous Medicine Minister by Herath Bandara.
