A policeman attached to the Sri Lanka Traffic Police put up a valiant show to stop a man from bulldozing his way out a traffic violation fine this evening.

According to eyewitnesses who recorded the incident, the driver of the vehicle bearing number plate CAA 4190 had come on the wrong side of the road near Wijeyrama and got caught to a traffic policeman who pulled him over.

The driver of the car had then refused to give the policeman his driving license despite repeated requests for it and even attempted to drive off. 

He was prevented from driving off by the policeman and the eyewitnesses who blocked his path.
