Journalists Removed From Presidential Commission To Inquire Into Central Bank Bond Issue: Sensitive Document Presented

Journalists and outsiders were removed from the premises of the Presidential Commission conducting hearings into the Central Bank bond issue, on account of a sensitive document that was submitted to the Commission.

President Maithripala Sirisena appointed the commission comprising Supreme Court Judges Kankanithanthri T. Chitrasiri, Prasanna Sujeewa Jayawardena and former Deputy Auditor General Kandasamy Velupillai on January 27, to investigate the Treasury bond issue.
