Two ‘golden’ horses that were stolen from a stable in Kohilawatte, Kotikawatte on Vesak Day – May 10 – were found in Polonnaruwa.

The two horses were traced to Polonnaruwa by a special Police team attached to the Wellampitiya Crimes Division.

The two horses are said to be worth Rs. 3 million.

Two suspects – a 29-year-old and a 36-year-old – were taken into Police custody.

Police said the two had hoped to sell the two golden horses.

The two suspects will be produced before court.
