The final hurdle in the way of regaining GSP+ trade concessions from the European Union (EU) was cleared last evening when the EU Foreign and Trade Ministers’ Council approved GSP+ for Sri Lanka.

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Harsha de Silva said GSP+ should be effective in less than 2 weeks.
