National Coexistence, Dialogue and Official Languages Minister Mano Ganesan was of the opinion that any politician who opposed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Sri Lanka was committing ‘political death’ to himself.
Speaking to reporters outside the Nalandaramaya in Nugegoda yesterday the Minister said there was no reason to oppose the visit of a top dignitary from the country that introduced Buddhism to Sri Lanka.
“Any opposition from a politician to the visit of a top dignitary from the country the Lord Buddha was born to and reached enlightenment at is a move that will spell out a political end to that person,” the National Coexistence, Dialogue and Official Languages Minister said.
