Tripitakaya, the Buddha’s word was digitalized yesterday with the Department of Government Information releasing the ‘Deega Nikaya’ to the Internet parallel to Vesak celebrations.

Supported by the Ministry of Buddhasasana it has been voiced by the Chief Sanganayaka of Japan, Director of Mahabodhi Society and the incumbent of Agrashravaka Viharaya, Most Ven. Banagala Upathissa Thera.

It can be accessed on www.trippitakaya.org or www.tripitakaya.lk.

“In book form there are 57 books and we are hoping to complete the voicing within the next three months with donations from people who are keen to spread the word of Dhamma”, Secretary of Tripitaka Voice Recording Operation Unit and Director of Control Center Ven. Ambulugala Sumangala Thera said.
