Parliament General Secretary Dhammika Dassanayake has informed the Election Commissioner United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Galle district MP Geetha Kumarasinghe’s post as Member of Parliament has been officially annulled.

The annulment is in line with the Court of Appeal decision on May 3rd that Geetha Kumarasinghe was disqualified from being an MP as she holds dual citizenship in Sri Lanka and Switzerland.
