Health Minister Rajitha Senarathne, addressing the media at an event in Anuradhapura last evening, said it was former President Mahinda Rajapaksa who reduced the security afforded to a former President.
“It was former President Mahinda Rajapaksa who went to the Supreme Court to get an order to reduce the security given to a former President,” the Health Minister said.
“Mahinda Rajapaksa wanted to give former President Chandrika only 30 officers as security,” he said. “So if thirty for her during the war time, how much should he have now?, he asked.
