Sri Lanka 1996 World Cup vice-captain Aravinda De Silva has stepped down from the Sri Lanka Cricket Committee.

De Silva handed in his resignation to the Sri Lanka Cricket today and the resignation will be effective from July 1.

De Silva had citied personal reasons for is resignation.

The Sri Lanka Cricket has not commented on De Silva’s resignation as yet.
