President Maithripala Sirisena has issued a gazette notification calling for Parliament to convene on Friday April 28th.

The gazette notification issued by the Presidential Secretariat says the President expects to take up the matter of waste disposal management with the parliamentarians. 

On April 20, the President issued a Gazette notification making garbage disposal an essential service. 

He is expected to debate a number of issues relating to garbage disposal with the parliamentarians on Friday April 28th.
