The Colombo Magistrate Court has issued an arrest warrant on former Sri Lanka captain T. M. Dishan for failing to pay Rs. 20, 000 monthly to his ex-wife for the upkeep of their child together.

Lawyers appearing on behalf of T.M. Dilshan said their client was not in the country, which is why he had defaulted on payment, but lawyers appearing on behalf of his ex-wife established that the former national captain was in the country.

T.M. Dilshan was married to Nilanka Withanage and has one son from that marriage. He subsequently married actress Manjula Thilini with whom he has two daughters and one son.
