Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will leave to India this morning ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Sri Lanka.

Indian Premier Narendra Modi is expected to officiate at the opening ceremony of the UN Vesak celebrations to be held in Sri Lanka between 11- 14 of May.

The Prime Minister is expecting to finalise arrangement relating to the Indian premiers visit in May, during his visit to India.

The Prime Minister will also meet  President of the Indian National Congress Sonia Ghani during his visit, as well as other dignitaries.
