Minster Sagala Ratnayaka visited the Meethotamulla area for the second consecutive day despite resistance shown by some angry residents hooting at the Minister.
A group of enraged residents in the area hooted at the Minister and his group claiming politicians were responsible for the collapse of the garbage dump.
Army Commander Lt. General Chrishantha de Silva and IGP Pujith Jayasundara also joined the Minister who looked into the grievances of the landslide victims.
The Minister also held a meeting in Kolonnawa to examine the progress of the ongoing rescue operations.
Government sources said Ratnayaka was the only Minister who visited the Meethotamulla area more than once.
