The Presidential Commission inquiring into the Treasury bond scam said to have taken place during the tenure of Arjuna Mahendran as Governor of the Central Bank yesterday warned former Governor Arjuna Mahendran not to use his mobile phone during sessions.

Justice K. T. Chitrasiri told former Governor Arjuna Mahendran’s Counsel Chanaka Silva to tell his client to stop using his mobile phone while sessions were going on.

The Presidential Commission, consisting of Supreme Court Judges Kankanithanthri T. Chitrasiri, Prasanna Sujeewa Jayawardena and former Deputy Auditor General Kandasamy Velupillai on was appointed on January 27 to inquire into the bond issue.
