Colombo Fort Magistrate this morning rejected the bail application made by National Freedom Front (NFF) leader Wimal Weerawansa.
Weerawansa had cited his daughter's mental health as reason for bail.
This is the second time MP Weerawansa's bail application has been rejected.
The Court of Appeal earlier rejected the bail application made by MP Weerawansa which led to a death fast by the minister.
Weerawansa is being held on the charges that he caused a loss of 91 million rupees to the government during the previous regime by misusing state owned vehicle's.
He is currently at the National Hospital after being transferred there while continuing his death fast at the prison hospital.
MP Weerawansa gave up his 9-day hunger strike after he was admitted to the National Hospital.
