The Colombo High Court this morning issued an enjoining order on popular author Upul Shantha Sannasgala preventing him from publishing, distributing and selling 11 books until April 7.
The books are by a prominent academic in Sinhala Literature, the late Professor Sucharitha Gamlath.
The case before the High Court is one of copyright infringement.
The widow of Professor Sucharitha Gamlath has sought an injunction order preventing Upul Shantha Sannasgala and Sanhinda Printers and Publishers from publishing, distributing or selling eleven books written by her husband.
She alleges Sannasgala and the publisher made unlawful profit from her late husbands books by printing, distributing and selling them.
