The Sri Lanka Embassy in Saudi Arabia will commence registration of Sri Lankan workers illegally staying in Saudi Arabia today.

This is in light of a 3-month long general amnesty offered to Sri Lankan workers by the Saudi government, beginning March 29.

The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment said the amnesty would allow illegal workers in Saudi a chance to return home without penalty.
