President Maithripala Sirisena has reiterated that the national unity government's first Cabinet reshuffle is certain.
The President had said the Cabinet reshuffle was only a matter of time and he would pursue it 'quite seriously'.
Sirisena, however, had not disclosed the 'timeline' of the reshuffle at the breakfast meeting with the Sri Lankan journalists covering the President's official visit to Russia.
The Cabinet reshuffle was earlier scheduled for January. However, it was postponed due to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's resistance.
It was revealed last week that Prime Minister Wickremesinghe had finally given his consent to a cabinet reshuffle. The Prime Minister had been asked to make recommendations on changes to the ministries held by ministers representing the UNP.
