'Remarkable Improvement' In Weerawansa's Condition After Admission To Prison Hospital

UPFA MP Wimal Weerawansa's health condition was improving, Prison Department sources said this morning.

Weerawansa was admitted to the Prison Hospital yesterday as his health condition deteriorated due to the hunger strike, they added.

The doctors examining him had informed the Prison officials that the Parliamentarian's blood pressure was increasing.

"There has been  a remarkable improvement in his health condition during the last 24 hours," multiple sources from the Prison Hospital confirmed.

Weerawansa launched a hunger strike last week against the High Court's decision to reject his bail application.
