Sri Lankan Navy have today arrested 10 Indian fishermen and seized one boat from Ramanathapuram, Rameswaram north of Delft Island in the sea area, ANI reported.
The Naval personnel located in Delft Island belonging to the Northern Naval Command apprehended the fishermen, it said.
The fishermen and the boat have been handed over to the Kankesanthurai Police for further investigation.
Earlier this month on March 5, 24 fishermen were arrested by Sri Lankan authorities for fishing in international waters.
15 fishermen were apprehended from between Katchathivu and Talaimannar, while nine others were arrested near Neduntheevu.
The boats used by the fishermen were seized by the authorities.
