The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has removed price controls placed on white sugar and chicken.

Price Controls were imposed on white sugar and chicken previously, taking the cost of living into consideration.

A maximum retail price of Rs. 93 was placed a kilogramme of white sugar and maximum price of Rs. 410 on a kilogramme of broiler chicken.
