President Sirisena, speaking at event organised by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Women’s Front to mark International Women’s Day, divulged that it was a woman who provided the most important and honest information during the probe on the Central Bank bond issue.

“Of all who were summoned to testify before the Presidential Commission probing the bond issue, a former female Director was the one who gave the most important and honest testimony, Chairman of the SLFP, President Sirisena said.

He said the former female Director had said that she was forced by senior officials to take certain decisions. “This proves the honesty of women,” the President said.
