Sri Lanka Police launched its first ever e-service yesterday by introducing a facility to obtain Police Clearance Certificates online as a solution to the age old manual processing method.
This is in line with its 150th anniversary, which falls this year.
At a special event held at the Police Headquarters in Colombo, Police Chief Pujith Jayasundara launched the new web based service for obtaining clearance certificates online.
Online Clearance Issuance System developed in collaboration with the Information Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) and the Police Information Technology Division.
Project is introduced targeting both the citizens residing in locally and overseas, who require police clearance certificates for various purposes including for jobs.
The programme for launching the facility to apply for Police Clearance Certificate online, was held under the leadership of Inspector General of Police, Mr. Pujith Jayasundara on 07. 02. 2017 at 2.00 p.m. at IG Conference Hall of Police Headquarters.
