The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) has said it would seek damages amounting to Rs. 1, 000 million from the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM).

The GMOA said SAITM had tarnished its good image by implying the GMOA was behind the shooting incident on SAITM CEO Dr.  Sameera Senarathne.

Police said last week the shooting was staged.
