Mt. Lavinia Police have arrested the prime suspect in the discovery of weapons at the Mt. Lavinia Magistrates’ Court, S.D. Roshan Indika de Silva Alwis, also known as ‘Rosa’, this morning.

Twenty other suspects were rounded up previously.

On Wednesday (1), court proceedings were suspended and court went into a temporary lockdown after two fully loaded weapons were found hidden in a bag.

The discovery came just days after a prison bus was ambushed, killing 5 prisoners and two prison officers.
