According to Investing.com, Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Information Technology, Telecoms and Power & Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL), which rose 16.67% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.700 at the close.
Meanwhile, Equity Two PLC (CM:ETWO) added 16.00% or 8.00 points to end at 58.00 and Arpico Insurance Ltd (CM:ARIC) was up 13.16% or 1.50 points to 12.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which fell 12.50% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.700 at the close. On’ally Holdings PLC (CM:ONAL) declined 11.62% or 6.60 points to end at 50.20 and Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) was down 10.00% or 0.10 points to 0.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 79 to 73 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) fell to all time lows; down 12.50% or 0.100 to 0.700.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.78% or 0.42 to $53.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.73% or 0.41 to hit $55.95 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 5.45 to trade at $1244.55 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.61% to 185.460, while USD/LKR fell 0.20% to 151.190.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 101.92.
