Ministry of Education says strict disciplinary action will be taken against school students who violate disciplinary guidelines.

Ministry further mentioned that instructions have been given to officers to be on alert about disputes that may arise during the inter-school cricket matches, and other inter-school functions which are organized in line with the matches.

The Ministry also noted that school principals have been given the required authority to take action against students who violate disciplinary rules of schools.

Meanwhile, Omalpe Sobitha Thera yesterday said that he would file a case against the police and other authorities for neglecting their duties and not banning school big matches.
